The vintage boasts a rich and aromatic profile, displaying elegance despite its inherent power.
On the nose, this wine is marked by the unmistakable aroma of cherry, with a delicate and refined character that belies its intense bouquet. It is spicy, with notes of red pepper and a subtle hint of animal musk. On the palate, the wine is light yet full-bodied, reminiscent of a Burgundy-style wine. The woodiness and well-blended tannins are especially noteworthy, adding to the wine's complexity. A hint of red pepper from "Kâmpôt" adds an additional layer of aromatic depth, with subtle notes of dried tomato, blond tobacco, saffron, and liquorice. The wine is further distinguished by a floral touch of rose, along with notes of cloves and cinnamon. The recognizable "Kirch" cherry liqueur note is present but not overpowering, accompanied by a touch of dark chocolate and bitterness that contributes to the wine's lovely length.
Ageing potential: 15 years and beyond.
