Milesimes

2019

Powerful, generous, solar, rich and aromatic, yet remaining elegant.

The nose of this 2019 vintage remains delicate despite its power, revealing very ripe black fruits, a touch of musk, and subtly peppery leather. On the palate, the wine is not heavy, with a salivating mouthfeel, and well-integrated oak and tannins that are already very smooth. The blackberry and prune notes are complemented by hints of coffee and liquorice, reminiscent of the famous Provençal candy known as Zan, with delicate mentholated violet flavours that bring a touch of freshness. A fine peppery bitterness provides length and an acidity that promises longevity, making for a rich and aromatic yet elegant wine.

Aging potential: 15 years and beyond.

2020

Charming, slightly more round and powerful than 2019, against all expectations.

With a slightly fruit-focused nose, this vintage presents notes of ripe black fruits with a subtle hint of violet, liquorice, and tobacco. The mouthfeel is full and round, with generous material and smooth, peppery tannins. The palate is dominated by flavours of liquorice and Zan, complemented by a touch of dark chocolate. The sweet bitterness is perfectly balanced with a long finish that remains fresh, thanks to its well-balanced acidity. A delightful journey that promises to delight the senses.

Aging potential: 15 years and beyond.
