Le « Grand Rouge Blend 3 Grenat » AOP Côtes de Provence 2021

Varieties: 2/3 Cinsault, 1/3 Grenache (Old Vines)
AOP Côtes de Provence

Vinification: Both grape varieties are harvested and vinified separately, destemmed, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in conical vats, with gentle pump-overs and minimal extraction.

Aging: Separately, by grape variety, for 8 months in 225-liter Demptos Bordeaux barrels, aged 2-3 years with very light toasting using French oak, then blending of the two grape varieties before bottling and aging with a cork closure for a minimum of 1 year before release.

On the nose, fresh red fruits, spices, and a hint of pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon intermingle, promising complexity. On the palate, this Burgundian-style red wine is straight with a light texture, showcasing dominant flavours of red fruits like strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, with hints of chocolate, tobacco, and caramel. The finish is pleasantly long, with a creamy sourness that brings freshness and length to the palate. This wine can be served slightly chilled without compromising its high-quality taste. Ideal for summer drinking.

Ageing potential: 5 to 10 years, but that is not the intended purpose.
